The Wang Temple

The Wang Church, also known as the Mountain of Our Savior, is an evangelical temple in Karpacz, near the Hotel Sadyba Spa, moved in 1842 from the town of Vang Norway. It was built of pine logs between the 12th and 13th centuries. It is called a stave church and is considered to be one of the oldest wooden churches in Poland. His location wasn't previously in Karpacz, but first he came to Szczecin, and then to Berlin. However, a countess convinced the king that a region of Silesia need a church. The imported church was only useful at one-fifteenth piece, so the reconstruction process based on the picture was started. New cloisters were created, which were not part of the former building. After renovation, the temple became a local parish and became a tourist destination. An interesting fact is that the church was created without the use of nails. Well-deserved citizens are buried in the cemetery by the church.

On Sundays and holidays at 10.00 you can join to the mass. Visiting the church is possible after 11.30.
